What To Expect When Recovering From Breast Lift in Dubai?
Breast lift recovery takes time, just like any other surgery. The better prepared you are, the less difficult it will be. It is critical to understand what to expect from a breast lift surgery so that you can plan your life accordingly in the days following the procedure (work, kids, home duties, social events, etc).
Discomfort, mild to moderate pain, swelling, and bruising is common after-effects of a breast lift, whether with or without implants. Every patient, however, is unique and may react differently.
Here’s everything you need to know about the recovery process for breast lift surgery, including how you’ll feel, what to expect, and how to care for your new breasts. Each patient is unique, and each patient’s recovery will be unique as well.
Immediately After The Surgery
Breast lift surgery is usually done under general anaesthesia, and the patient is discharged the next day. You will feel tired, sleepy, and possibly dizzy when you wake up from anaesthesia. Swelling and pressure will also be felt in the chest area, especially when you breathe deeply. Because you are not permitted to drive, you will have to arrange for your trip back home.
The First Three Days
- The recovery from a breast lift is relatively painless and similar to that of breast augmentation.
- During the first 24 hours, you must completely rest and relax at home for the first two to three days.
- In 3 days, most patients can resume simple activities (short walks, cooking). If your doctor has recommended it, you can begin lymphatic drainage after the third day.
- It is critical to follow the plastic surgeon’s recommendations and take the prescribed medication to have a more comfortable recovery.
After One Week
You can resume most activities, such as driving, easy home cleaning, and other easy activities.
After A Two-Week Period
You can return to work (if your job does not require a lot of physical exertion) and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts at the gym.
After A Period Of Four Weeks
- You can resume your pre-surgery lifestyle, including more intense physical activities, the use of normal bras, breast-related sexual activities, and sleeping on your stomach.
- However, the surgical bra must be worn for four weeks as it can significantly impact the final results.
After A Three-Month Period
After 3 to 6 months, the final result of your breast lift surgery becomes apparent as the shape and position of the breasts settle. Scars are permanent, but they will fade with time.
