VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance and is an incredible technique that brings highly satisfactory results for fat emulsification & extraction.
It is an invasive procedure that is usually performed in a hospital and requires General Anaesthesia. Post-operative recovery is intense and involves wearing compression garments and foams. Post-operative lymphatic drainage is part of the treatment and is essential.
Below are the major steps involved in working on a VASER
Fat Separation & Selective Emulsification
A tumescent fluid is injected into the tissues, followed by the insertion of VASER probes through stealth incisions. VASER uses ultrasound technology for selective emulsification of the fat cells & preservation of blood vessel nerves.
Acoustic Streaming
Acoustic streaming is a process whereby fat cells are further broken down into small groups of fat cells that can be extracted with ease. Dr Adnan uses VASER probe to stimulate the skin’s production of collagen for a tighter and more toned look.
Fat Extraction and Equalisation
Fat is extracted at this stage. Dr Adnan uses MicroAire power-assisted Liposuction device with special cannulas designed to sculpt various body parts. After extraction, residual fat is broken down into smaller particles superficially in order to avoid contour irregularities.
Before Surgery
According to Dr Adnan, the best way to prepare yourself for VASER-assisted liposuction is to use a balanced diet and regular exercise routine. Specific instructions are provided during consultation to assist you in this regard.
Post Op
Dr Adnan offers customised post-op care, including massage sessions and lymphatic drainage performed by a dedicated team. This plan usually takes 10 sessions, starting from day-3 to day-13 post-op. Compression garments are worn for a period of 6 weeks. Regular follow up in clinic is also required.
